Cornish Cottage Branding and Design

Having our design studio based in beautiful Cornwall means we often design for accommodation clients. Every cottage, hotel, campsite has its own personality which we really enjoy trying to capture. Clients Lanneves Cottage Holidays approached us to design them a logo and a website to promote their self-catering cottage in Lanivet, the heart of Cornwall.

First we designed their logo, capturing the holiday feel. This lovely cottage has been thoughtfully decorated and comes with a private garden and access to vegetable patches and play equipment. We used the hens and chicks to suggest family and illustrated elements, which we picked up on the website, show the country location and homely feel. We used bright bold colours of rosy red, bright Cornish blue and a verdant green.



Next was their website. We kept the handmade feel throughout with illustrative touches, bright and beautiful photographs and a contemporary mix of fonts. Using fading images on the Home page to suggest the lifestyle and feature boxes pointing visitors to the Blog. Every page has a customer review all showing that this is a great place to stay.



The site also has an availability checker as well as the ability to book online. We also integrated a blog with a style that is in keeping with the rest of the site. Amongst the other pages we have included a Local Area page so visitors to the cottage can see how great being in the centre of Cornwall is. Easy access to both North and South Cornish coasts and interesting towns like Truro, and of course the dramatically beautiful moor.





Finally, those finishing touches! Our clients wanted to carry their brand through so we have designed signage, in keeping with fonts and colours, and little jam jar labels and comment cards too. This was a lovely brand to design and it is really nice to follow it through into lots of different aspects for this self-catering holiday cottage.
